EDM / Wire-burner Programmer-Operator

Full Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

EDM - Wire Burner Programmer and Operator familiar with a Agie Charmillies +gf+ Wire EDM machine. The optimum candidate will be able to bring in CAD data into Esprit software , write program to wire burn as needed, set block of steel into Charmilles wire burner and run program.
Quality checking machined parts, calculating dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers
Perform repairs where needed
Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
Ability to Program/Operate the 3/5-axis CNC machine to perform cutting a plus
Shift Schedule: 1st shift, 7am start
Over-time available and at times expected

Qualifications and Skills:

A minimum of 2 years of 3/5-axis experience and/or 2 years with EDM - wire-burning machining.
CMM and/or CNC programming/operating experience, is a plus
Experience with CAM Software, WorkNC is preferred
Experience with FANUC and Heidenhain controls
Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
Must possess strong work values; Dependability, honesty, self-confidence and a positive attitude, open-minded, willing to learn new techniques
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
